At KemFine, we are committed to continuously improve the effectiveness of our quality system as well as being in accord with our customers' needs. These objectives are achieved by close cooperation with our customers.

In the production of agrochemical compounds, fungicide and herbicide active ingredients are manufactured in dedicated production trains. In the pharmaceutical facilities, regulatory starting materials and advanced intermediates are manufactured according to GMP.

At the Kokkola and Grangemouth sites, the high quality production processes are monitored and controlled by the use of state-of-the-art analytical equipment including:

• HPLC with UV, diode array and MS detectors
• GC (with FID,TCD,ECD and MS detectors including purge and trap)
• Ion chromatograph
• Titrators (acid/base, chloride, ion selective, Karl Fisher, coulometric)
• FTIR
• UV-VIS spectrometer
• Total organic carbon analyzer
 

Uniform production is assured by the quality control laboratory which operates on a 24 h basis. Before each production campaign is commenced extensive check lists are employed to ensure smooth start-up. Carefully selected suppliers of raw materials are also used to ensure continuous and high quality production. In addition, rigorous washing procedures with careful analytical monitoring take place after each production campaign to prevent any Product Integrity issues arising in subsequent campaigns.

Our approach for managing quality consists of all the relevant systems and measures, standard operation procedures (SOP’s) and documentation including for example management of changes (MOC). Furthermore, the plant and operating procedures for each manufacturing process are audited and approved by our actual customers to ensure the highest standards are maintained.
